The Iowa State Cyclones need a big win and they get another chance this evening when they visit 20th ranked Baylor in the Big 12. The Cyclones are 2-4 in the league race after rallying to beat Colorado and take on a Baylor team that is 3-3 in the Big-12 and 16-4 overall.

I.S.U. coach Greg McDermott says a key for the Bears has been the play of point guard Tweety Carter. He says Carter has made great strides and has become one of the elite guards in the conference. McDermott says Carter can score and is also leading the league in assists, which is what you need in a point guard.

Baylor is coming off a win at Texas and coach Scott Drew is confident his team won’t come out flat against the Cyclones. He says he hopes they have enough experience to lead them to focus on the game. Drew says defense has been the key for his team this season. He says the last couple of years they have relied heavily on their offense, but that has changed this year.

Iowa State is 13-8 overall.
