Fort Dodge student identified as victim in fatal ATV accident

August 17, 2010 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Authorities have released the name of the Fort Dodge teenager who was killed last night in an ATV accident south of town. He is 18-year-old Tyler Matthew Waldrop.

The Iowa State Patrol reported that the Suzuki Four Wheeler operated by Waldrop was traveling northbound on a dirt trail on private property. The machine went through a dip on the trail flipping over frontwards and then landing on top of him. Waldrop was preparing to begin his senior year at Fort Dodge High School when classes begin next week.

Grief counselors will be on hand to meet with students in the coming days.
