August 20, 2010 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The Meskwaki Settlement School near Tama will play its first home football game tonight by hosting Central City in a week zero eight-player contest. Its is the second year of varsity football for the school which played all of its games on the road in 2009.

Coach Todd Dale says they traveled all over the state last year and played eight games. He says the Warriors have a ten game schedule this season with five of the games at home. He says they have Harmony and Seymor coming to them this year and their longest trip is to Busey.

Dale says the school is excited about hosting a varsity game. He says there’s been a lot of work go into getting things ready to host the game.
