Missing Guthrie County teen found in Missouri

September 13, 2010 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A Guthrie County teen missing since last Monday night has been located in Missouri. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Department received a call just before 6 P-M Sunday from the Sheriff’s Department in southeast Missouri’s Perry County.

Authorities there reported 18-year-old Kenneth Douglas Blass turned himself in after wrecking a pickup he had allegedly taken after he ran away from his parents’ home last week. His parents have since been notified of Kenny’s location and situation. An alert was issued Friday night about Blass’ disappearance, four-days after he was reported missing.

The teen left home at around 9:30 P.M. Monday, September 6th. He was believed to have been wearing only a pair of gym shorts and tennis shoes.
