Davenport man sentenced on child porn charges

December 29, 2010 By O. Kay Henderson

An eastern Iowa man who was caught in an on-line investigation will spend several years in prison on child pornography charges. This summer 41-year-old Davon Jackson of Davenport pleaded guilty to one count of receiving and distributing child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.

He was sentenced yesterday to serve seven years in a federal prison on the two charges. Davenport police started their on-line investigation of trafficking in child pornography about a year ago and last January Jackson admitted he was involved. Authorities say they found “numerous images and videos depicting child pornography” on Jackson’s computer.
