O’Rear could return for the Panthers on Wednesday

January 10, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

U.N.I. senior forward Lucas O’ Rear may be back in the lineup for Wednesday’s visit to Illinois State. O’Rear sat out of Sunday’s 83-77 win over Bradley after being suspended by coach Ben Jacobsen. Jacobsen says the violation does not involve the law and he says he will talk with O’Rear and determine if he is allowed to return to the floor.

Last night’s victory was the 100th for Jacobsen as the Panther’s coach. He becomes the fifth coach at U.N.I. to reach the mark. Jacobsen says it’s a much different place for basketball than it was when the other coaches hit the mark. He says the facilities have improved and it is a great place to coach.
