Ohio State dominates Hawkeyes

January 20, 2011 By Todd Kimm

Top ranked Ohio State dominated from start to finish in a 70-48 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes in Big Ten play. For the Hawks it was another slow start on the road as they fell behind by 17 at the halftime break as their Big Ten record falls to 0-6.

Iowa coach Fran McCaffery says they were a little tentative on offense and then go into it and settled down. The Hawkeyes had 24 turnovers in the game and also had problems on defense. He says they didn’t rotate and pressure the ball like they had worked on, although he says they played better in the second half on defense.

Andrew Brommer came off the bench to lead the Hawkeyes with 12 points. Melsahn Basabe added 11.
