Iowa man involved in fatal buggy accident in Wisconsin

August 8, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Authorities in southwest Wisconsin say an Iowa man was at the wheel of a car that hit a horse-drawn buggy, killing a teenager in the buggy and injuring two others, early this morning on Highway 18 near Fennimore.

Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth Miller of Fennimore, Wisconsin was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Seventeen-year-old Christian Esch and 19-year-old Lydia Esch were injured in the accident.

The buggy was rear-ended by 35-year-old Jason Danhof of Waukon, Iowa, who was not injured.

Officiers are still working on their investigation and no charges have been filed.
