ISU men bounce back after loss

November 21, 2011 By Todd Kimm

The Iowa State Cyclones connected on 20 of 26 shots in the second half to pull away for a 92-60 win over Western Carolina. The Cyclones led it 38-34 at the halftime.

Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg says they came out timid and seemed to have lost some confidence after their loss to Drake. He says defense helped the Cyclones take control. He says they held them below 50% shooting, rebounded and shot the ball well.

Chris Baab scored 18 points to lead the Cyclones who improve to 2-1 on the season.
