Drake falls to Boise State

December 1, 2011 By Todd Kimm

Drake had no answer for Boise State on Wednesday night as the Broncos rolled to a 108-64 win in Boise. The Bulldogs led early 8-6 but Boise State went on a 16-3 run and it was never close after that.

Drake coach Mark Phelps on his post game show on KRNT in Des Moines said “I didn’t see this one coming, it was a really really tough game.” Boise State shot 61 percent for the game and made 14 of 22 from three point range. Phelps says they got started early with the threes and that had his team running all around and Boise State kept it up with two great halves of basketball.

Rayvonte Rice led Drake with 19 points as the Bulldogs fall to 4-3 on the season.
