Plane crash claims another victim

May 14, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A fourth person has died as the result of a plane crash that took the life of an eastern Iowa man. The twin-engine Cessna crashed Friday afternoon in southeast Kansas.

It landed in a field, skidded about 200 feet, hit some trees and caught fire. Three people, including the pilot, were killed in the crash. A fourth died Saturday at a hospital.

Among the dead are 22-year-old Stephen J. Luth of Muscatine. All of those killed were recent graduates of Oral Roberts University. They were headed from Oklahoma to Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a Teen Mania Ministries conference.

A 22-year-old woman survived the crash. She is hospitalized in Kansas City, Missouri.
