Muscatine County man dies in mowing accident

A Muscatine County man is dead following a mowing accident near Blue Grass. It happened Saturday afternoon. The Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was dispatched to to an address on Highway 61 to investigate a possible fatal accident involving a lawn tractor overturning on the driver.

The body of 69-year-old Donald Roy Fister was found under his lawn tractor at the base of a roadside ditch, which he had been mowing.
