Four die in Lake City fire

November 13, 2012 By Dar Danielson

The state fire marshal’s office has been called in to help find the cause of a fatal fire in Lake City this morning. The Lake City Police chief says three children and one adult died in the fire.

It was discovered early this morning by a Lake City police officer who noticed the smoke and found the house on fire once he went to the source of the smoke. The names of the victims are not being released until relatives can be notified.

Reports say the home was gutted by the fire. While investigators will help determine the cause of the fire, firefighters on the scene did not believe the cause is suspicious.
