Iowa faces Middle Tennessee State in WNIT

November 14, 2012 By Todd Kimm

Iowa women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder says don’t let the name fool you, her Hawkeyes will have their hands full tonight in the semifinal round of the WNIT.

Iowa hosts a Middle Tennessee State team that has become a regular participant in the NCAA Tournament. She says they shown highlight films to the team to give them an idea of how good the team is and she says they shouldn’t be decieved by the directional name.

The Hawkeyes are 2-0 after a ten point win over Illinois State and Bluder says this will be a tough hurdle to clear. They were in the NCAA Tournament last year and only lost one starter from that team. North Carolina and Georgetown are on the other side of the bracket.
