Iowa State men move to 3-0

November 19, 2012 By Todd Kimm

The Iowa State Cyclones are now 3-0 on the season. Tyrus McGee led five Cyclones in double figures with 16 points in an 88-68 victory over Campbell in Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones took command with a 14-0 run in the opening half of play.

Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg says McGee made several hustle plays and threes that were important. Hoiberg was pleased with the effort on defense.

“They’ve gotten a lot of easy shots this year with the teams they’ve played against, and I thought we really forced them to get out and move the ball.”

The Cyclones return to action on Tuesday night at home against North Carolina [email protected] He says they have a lot of games in a short amount of time, so there is a lot of mental preparation on the things they need to do.
