SW Iowa teenager declared missing after crash, hospital visit

January 11, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Authorities in southwest Iowa are searching for a missing teenager.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety issued a state-wide missing person report early Friday morning for 16-year-old Devon C. Powers.

Powers, who Fremont County dispatchers say is a Tabor resident, was listed as missing on Monday.

It’s believed that Powers was last seen two days ago at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs where the youth sought treatment for an injury sustained in an auto accident.

Powers is listed as a 16-year-old white male with red hair and blue eyes. No photo of Powers is currently available.

Authorities advise anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the Fremont County Sheriff’s office or the missing person’s clearinghouse at 800-346-5507.
