Man dies after fall into grain bin

July 10, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A man has died in a farm-related accident in north-central Iowa. Webster County authorities are investigating the accident that happened Tuesday afternoon at a farm five miles northwest of Dayton. The name of the victim has not been released.

The man apparently fell into a grain bin while trying to empty it. Rescue workers from area fire departments and the Webster County Sheriff’s Department were on the scene to recover the man’s body. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
