Wesley man charged with murder after dispute

July 22, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A Wesley man is charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting an unidentified man several times during a dispute on Sunday. The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department says 25-year-old Andrew Zeitler was also charged with going armed with intent. He was arrested after a three-hour manhunt Sunday that ended in a cornfield near Corwith.

Authorities were called to 309 East Street in Wesley shortly after 4 o’clock Sunday morning after the report of a shooting taking place. Zeitler was apprehended at about 7:00 AM after a search by the Iowa State Patrol’s airplane with help from Hancock and Kossuth county authorities.
