Bluder now leader in Hawkeye basketball wins

February 11, 2014 By Todd Kimm

Lisa Bluder is now the all time leader in wins at Iowa. Bluder garnered win number 270 last night as the Hawkeyes hung on down the stretch at home top top Northwestern 90-84. “We did make it hard on ourselves because usually we do make those free throws down the stretch,” Bluder says.

Balanced scoring was again a factor as the Hawks improve to 7-4 in the Big Ten. Bluder was honored for her 270th win after the game and wanted her coaching staff to be part of it as she says Jan Jensen and Jennie Fitzgerald have been with her for 14 years, “that’s why I really wanted them out in the middle with me.”

Melissa Dixon led Iowa with 24 points, Samantha Logic added 20 to go along with 10 assists.
