Dallas Center man sentenced to prison on child porn charges

February 26, 2014 By Dar Danielson

A Dallas Center man will serve 17-and-half years in prison on child pornography charges. Thirty-six-year old  Benjaman Shelabarger was convicted by a jury in November of illegally possessing child pornography and knowingly receiving child pornography.

Shelabarger’s sentenced was increased after the judge found he obstructed justice by falsely testifying a relative was responsible for the crime, and because he possessed movies and images of children being sexually assaulted.
