Marion man sentenced to prison in child sex case

April 4, 2014 By Dar Danielson

An eastern Iowa man will spend more than 12 years in prison for attempting to have sex with a minor. Thirty-one-year-old Michael Glawe of Marion pled guilty to attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity. Glawe admitted he tried to contact a person he thought was a minor in 2010 and 2011 to have sex with them.

The minor was really an undercover  officer. Glawe was sentenced to 151 months in prison and will have to register as a sex offender. His arrest was part of a nationwide effort called Project Safe Neighborhood.
