A Larchwood man will spend 10 years in federal prison for manufacturing methamphetamine. Fifty-six-year-old Duane Middlen pled guilty to conspiracy to manufacture meth on January 30th.

He admitted to conspiring with several other people to make meth by having them purchase pseudoephedrine in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Nebraska. Middlen would give those who supplied him with the meth-making material some of his finished product and he admitted to making meth at least 500 times at his home and other buildings in Lyon County.
