Two charged in Cedar Rapids bank robbery

June 27, 2014 By Matt Kelley

Police have identified the two suspects who were captured following a chase and bank robbery Thursday in Cedar Rapids. The robbery of a U.S. Bank in the Czech Village area of Cedar Rapids was reported around 4:45 p.m.

The two suspects fled in a van, which police located and tried to pull over. A pursuit began and police say the van ran a red light striking two other vehicles at the intersection. No one was injured in the robbery or the crash. The suspects tried to flee on foot, but were caught by police.

Twenty-eight-year-old Javon Dockery and 21-year-old Bria Daudinot are both charged with first-degree robbery. Daudinot is also facing several traffic-related charges. This marks the 7th bank robbery in Cedar Rapids this year. Police say it’s unknown right now if these two suspects may have been involved in any of the other bank robberies.
