Cyclone women fall to Baylor

January 14, 2015 By Todd Kimm

Cold shooting plagued the Iowa State women as they were hammered by third ranked Baylor 79-47 in Big 12 play. The Cyclones made only 7 of 33 from three point range. “We did not compete at a level that we need to compete in any game, let along against Baylor. We could not make any shots at all, and we’re a team that needs to make shots,” ISU coach Bill Fennelly said.

The Cyclones got off to a dreadful start and at one point in the opening half trailed 27-5. “We had some kids that just didn’t show up tonight the way we needed to have them to show up but that’s a credit to Baylor, they play hard. They hit us in the mouth and we didn’t respond,” Fennelly said.

The Cyclones fall to 2-2 in the Big 12 and 11-4 overall.
