The Iowa State Cyclones will be looking for a second straight Big 12 Tournament title this week in Kansas City. The second seeded Cyclones open Thursday night against the winner of tonight’s game between Texas and Texas Tech.

“I like where we are right now, I like the last two games, I like the mentality of our team, obviously especially in the second half,” ISU coach Fred Hoiberg said He says they will have to play better to make a run in the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City and the key this time of year is to keep your team fresh. He says they will determine what they do by how many games they have to play in the tournament.

The Cyclones have been practicing this week not knowing who their quarterfinal round opponent will be. “I don’t think it makes it more difficult,” Hoberg said. He says they will get to see what the other teams have added to their games for the tournament.
