Investigators try to identify body found on Dallas County bike path

August 10, 2015 By Matt Kelley

Crime-sceneA body was found on a popular central Iowa bike path over the weekend. A cyclist spotted the man’s body Saturday morning in Dallas County along the trail between Waukee and Dallas Center.

The county sheriff’s office and the state DCI are investigating the death and they’ve reportedly consulted a missing persons database to try and identify the man. An autopsy is planned.

There are conflicting media reports as to whether the death is considered suspicious.
