Rhoads praises offensive line

Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads says the Cyclone offensive line continues to impress. The Cyclones broke camp on Saturday night by conducting their second major scrimmage.

“I’m seeing them start to execute all the things from pass protection to combo blocks to one on one drive blocks”, said Rhoads. “I would probably says the O-line has advanced as a group as much as any position group in training camp.”

Rhoads is concerned about a lack of depth up front and says the Cyclones have three tackles, three guards and with Patrick Scoggins battling injury just one proven center.

With two-a-days complete the Cyclones begin a regular practice schedule as they prepare for the September fifth opener against UNI.
