Off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2009 the Iowa Hawkeyes will close out non-conference play at home next Saturday against North Texas.

Marshall Koehn crushed a 57-yard field goal as time expired as the Hawkeyes edged Pittsburgh 27-24 in a thrilling finish under the lights at Kinnick Stadium.

North Texas is led by former Iowa State coach and Hawkeye assistant Dan McCarney. In his fifth year at the helm the Mean Green are 0-2 after losses to SMU and Rice.

McCarney spent 12 seasons as the head coach of the Cyclones and was on the Iowa staff from 1977 to 1989.
