2011 replay for Iowa State?

It is the most memorable victory during the Paul Rhoads era at Iowa State. On November 18th of 2011 the Cyclones stunned second ranked Oklahoma State 37-31 in double overtime and knocked the Cowboys out of a spot in the BCS title game.

Oklahoma State returns to Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday with a 9-0 record, a number five ranking and fresh off a lopsided win over TCU that put them into the middle of the playoff hunt.

“There are certainly a lot of similarities with the date of the game, their high ranking and the playoffs on the line for their football team”, said Rhoads. “But we are also playing for something. We need three wins to get to the post season and this is the first of the those three and it happens to be against a great football team in the process.”

Iowa State is 3-6 on the season and four of the losses have come to teams ranked 13th or higher in the latest Associated Press poll.
