Woman found dead in Hampton; boyfriend charged with murder

Police car lightsA Hampton man has been accused of shooting his girlfriend to death.

Franklin County authorities say they were called shortly after 5:45 Sunday evening to what was termed as a possible suicidal subject at a home in the northeastern part of Hampton.

When officers arrived, they found 51-year-old Michelle Key of Waterloo dead of a gunshot wound. Sixty-year-old Ronald Rand was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
