Prohm still confident as Cyclones head to K-State

Iowa State coach Steve Prohm remains confident in what his team can still accomplish this season. The Cyclones have stumbled out of the gate in Big-12 Conference action with a 1-3 record heading into Saturday’s game at Kansas State.

“Obviously everyone is down right now but I’m not”, said Prohm. “I understand the expectations. I understand who I am replacing. I understand what everybody wants here and believe me it bothers me more than anybody.”

Iowa State is giving up 86 points per game in Big-12 play but Prohm says part of that stems from decision making on the offensive end that is leading to transition baskets by their opponents.

“You want to play fast and play up and down but you have got to understand time and score and shot selection.”

Kansas State is also 1-3 in the league race. Tipoff in Bramlage Coliseum is 3:00p.m.
