Iowa State hosts Kansas In a Big Monday clash in Hilton Coliseum. After opening the Big-12 race with a record of 1-3 the Cyclones have won three straight games and are now just a game out of first place in the league standings.

“I think we are confident”, said Iowa State coach Steve Prohm. “Obviously I think we still have got to get better and our kids know we still need to keep improving in a lot of different areas. We have got a really good basketball team coming in here tonight. It is going to be a great atmosphere with Big Monday and I think our guys will be ready to go.”

The Jayhawks are part of a four way tie for first but have been blown out in their last two road games by an average margin of 15 points. Prohm says the Cyclones expect to get Kansas’ best shot.

“I would think the atmosphere for great teams whether it is the road or home will bring out the best in those teams.”

Tipoff in Hilton Coliseum is 8:00p.m. and the game will be televised by ESPN.
