Ireton man dies in accident while cleaning up storm debris

Ambulance-Back-DoorOne person has died in Sioux County while cleaning up of debris following Friday evening’s storm. A rural Ireton man, 49-year-old Christopher Soppe apparently was struck by a tree branch as he was cutting it down.

Soppe was transported by the Ireton Ambulance to the Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, where he died from his head injuries.
