Man hit multiple times and killed on Highway 218 in eastern Iowa.

Iowa State Patrol logoThe Iowa State Patrol is investigating the death of a man who was struck multiple times by cars on a highway in eastern Iowa.

The State Patrol crash report says the man was hit by a car Sunday evening in the northbound lane of Highway 218 just south of Interstate 80 around nine o’clock. The man was then hit by a minivan and another car.

Investigators are trying to determine why the man was walking in the roadway. They are also trying to determine his identity. There were no other injuries listed in the patrol report and the names of the drivers involved have not yet been released.
