Cedar Rapids fire investigators believe smoking led to a fatal fire Tuesday at a four-unit condominium complex.
Firefighters found thick smoke coming out of one unit and found 61-year-old Toni Kay Cooley dead inside. They says the fire started in a couch in the living room from discarded smoking materials and did heavy damage Cooley’s unit.
The people in the other three condominium units were temporarily moved out.
