A Sioux City man is accused of threatening Woodbury County Attorney James Loomis and the Sioux City Police.
Twenty-eight-year-old Christian Burford is charged with two counts of threats of terrorism. Police were alerted to the 300 block of Court Street around 7:30 Monday morning for papers which were left there which appeared to be threatening in nature.
One of the papers had a photo of Loomis, and a handwritten note claiming there would be a bomb under his vehicle.
Sioux City police were also contacted by the Fort Bend justice center in Richmond, Texas. They had received an email just after 11 PM on Sunday, August 16th with threats made to bomb the Sioux City Police Department.
Sioux City police investigated the threats and obtained information from a social media account which led to the arrest of the defendant.
Burford is being held on $10,000 bond in the Woodbury County Jail.
