The University of Iowa and Iowa State University report small drops in fall enrollment, while the University of Northern Iowa saw an increase.
UNI’s reports fall enrollment is up 162 students to 9,366, which is the Cedar Falls school’s largest overall population since 2020. ISU reports a drop of 333 students to 30,772. The UI dropped by 181 students to 31,382.
UNI reports its largest freshmen class in nearly a decade. ISU is touting a one-year retention rate of more than 83%, and the UI says it has its fifth straight freshman class that tops 5,000 students.
