The Iowa State Patrol is reporting the confiscation of a large amount of marijuana and cash.The Patrol says 330-thousand dollars and 140 pounds of marijuana were seized in two seperate routine traffic stops along Interstate 80 near Underwood in southwest Iowa. The first stop came early Monday and troopers found the marijuana with an estimated value of 165-thousand dollars. Two Michigan men were arrested on charges of possession with the intent to deliver marijuana. The other stop came later Monday. Officers searched the car and found the money hidden in the spare tire after noticing the tire seemed heavy. Troopers have filed papers with federal officials to keep the money, which is the most ever seized by a trooper. The driver of the car was issued a traffic violation and allowed to leave.
