An Iowa doctor hosted a Russian delegation this week, visiting to see how we handle health care in this country. Dr Robert Weissinger says the five physicians and an administrator were full of questions concerning medical and administrative concerns. In addition asking about medical procedures and insurance reimbursement, the doctors were impressed with the quality of equipment at the Guthrie County Hospital where they visited. Dr Weissinger will be able to compare our system with soviet healthcare after an exchange visit. He’ll go with an Iowa delegation of doctors to visit the Sister City of Samara in September.
