Representatives of ten Iowa adoption agencies will gather in Des Moines tomorrow for an “adoption options” fair. Lu Ann Barnes of the “Adoption Connection” in Ankeny will be there.She says the event is co-sponsored by the Iowa Association of Adoption Agencies, and it’ll be a one-stop-shop for prospective parents.Barnes says it’ll give Iowans thinking of adoption the chance to talk to a number of agencies, in just one place.The event will be held at Metropolitan Hospital in Des Moines. It used to be called “Des Moines General” and it’s just a block east of the state capitol building.
