Congress resumes its session today after a long break. Senator Chuck Grassley would like to see several things accomplished in the coming weeks — and several things must be completed, such as the appropriations bills.Grassley wants to see passage of permanent normal trade relations for China, marriage tax relief and Social Security tax relief. He also wants President Clinton to outline his National Energy Policy as the winter months approach and consumers face sky-high heating bills.Congress will adjourn on October 6th to give members a month to campaign before the general election.
