The Northern Iowa Panthers improved to 3-0 on the season with a hard fought 70-65 win over Missouri-Kansas City in their home opener. U-N-I coach Sam Weaver says Joe Breakenridge led the Panthers with 22-points, Corey Jenkins added 21 as the Panthers dominated the paint.It was U-N-I’s first game since a November 14th tournament game in St.Louis and Weaver thinks the long lay-off may have affected his team.
