A long-time Iowa artist is leaving his job as director of the IowaDepartment of Cultural Affairs to take a job at Boston University. DanHunter — a humorist, writer and singer — will teach creative writingand be one of two “playwrights in residence” at Boston U. His replacementas director of the state Department of Cultural Affairs is Doug LarcheLarche wants to increase visitor numbers at the State Historical Museum inDes Moines.Larche wants to find ways to make arts and history as accessible aspossible.Larche takes over September 4th.
