Petitions are circulating in Cedar Rapids to cancel next week’s concert by shock-rocker Marilyn Manson who had among his fans the two student-gunmen in Tuesday’s high school massacre in Colorado. Tammy Koolbeck is marketing director for Five Seasons Center and she says the show -WILL- go on. Koolbeck says no amount of petition signatures will be able to nullify the contract for next Wednesday’s concert. Koolbeck says ticket sales have been “healthy” but the show is not yet a sell-out. She says extra security -WILL- likely be put in place that night, but -NOT- because of Manson devotees (dev-oh-tays). After checking with several other concert halls where Manson has performed, Koolbeck says Manson’s audiences have NOT been violent with each other or damaged property. She says as ticketholders enter the Cedar Rapids auditorium, everyone will be searched for weapons and bottles.
