The Governor’s 21st Century Workforce Council will host a forum on June 30thin Des Moines to solicit Iowans’ ideas. Lieutenant Governor Sally Pedersonhas been leading the group. Their goal is to find ways to ease the workershortage and keep Iowans from leaving the state.Two other “town meetings” will be held in Carroll on July 21st and in CedarRapids on August 10th.Wednesday’s forum will be held in the state historical building. Aconference is scheduled later this fall, on September 21st, to release theCouncil’s workforce development recommendations.
