Unemployment benefits paid to Iowans in June increased by one-and-a-halfmillion dollars over benefits paid in May. Iowa Workforce Developmentanalyst Garold Wilson says layoffs by farm equipment manufacturers are partof the reason.He says the layoffs have been spotty.Wilson says the layoffs will add up by the end of the year.The unemployment payments in June were over five million dollars more thanlast June.
