The Iowa Department of Economic Development Board has approved loans totalling nearly one million dollars for three businesses expected to create 329 new jobs. D-E-D spokesman Phil Thomas says the board approved a 450-thousand dollar loan package for the Northwood Door company in Northwood.They also approved a 450-thousand dollar loan for Dana Corporation, an Indianola auto parts manufacturer. The final loan goes to Remco Motor Coach of Shenandoah for 90-thousand dollars. Thomas says these investments continue a trend of building businesses across the state.The funds come from the D-E-D’s Community Betterment Account which provides financing to help businesses expand or create new jobs.
