An alliance of around 100 labor, environmental, religious and farm groups is holding a rally in Des Moines today to try and get the presidential candidates to recognize their causes. It’s part of what’s being called a “National Environment, Farm and Labor Day of Action.” Don Kegley is a steelworker who helped organize the Iowa event.Kegley says they’ll visit each candidate’s headquarters today and drop of a list of questions. He says they are asking to get answers back in a week.Kegley says if the candidates don’t answer the group will let the public know.Kegley says answering these questions shouldn’t be a big problem for most candidates.The Iowa group will begin with a rally this morning at a Des Moines church. They’ll then visit the offices of the candidates and deliver their questions.
