Recent rains have helped replenish some of the state’s water reserve. Radio The State Agricultural Department says the rains left Iowa with adequate or surplus topsoil moisture in 60-percent of the state. Subsoil moisture also improved, but only 29 percent of the state has adequate or surplus subsoil moisture. The state report says 67-percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition. While 63-percent of the soybeans are in good to excellent condition.
