An elderly Davenport woman says she won’t give up her home –at any price– to make way for a new grocery store. 86-year-old Lois Miller has lived in the home 28 years and won’t move for the proposed new Hy-Vee. Neighbors have all signed agreements to sell their homes but Miller refuses. She suspects those neighbors of sending her threatening letters. She says she just wants the harassment to end.Hy-Vee has offered 75-thousand dollars for Miller’s home, which is assessed at 51-thousand.
